Oatmeal & Argan Oil Face Mask

Oatmeal is naturally soothing and this simple oatmeal and Argan oil face mask will help in clearing acne. 

What you’ll need:

  • One tablespoon of Argan Oil
  • Three tablespoons of oatmeal
  • ¼ cup of warm water

Instructions to make the Oatmeal & Argan Oil Face Mask:

Step 1: You start by taking a large bowl and then add three tablespoons of oatmeal along with one tablespoon of Argan oil and ¼ cup of warm water. 

Step 2: After mixing properly, wash your face and neck with lukewarm water and then use an oil-free cleanser to cleanse your face and open the pores. 

Step 3: Now, you are ready to apply the paste. 

Step 4: Let the paste sit on your face for around 10-15 minutes and then once those 10-15 minutes are up, start massaging your face using small circular motions. Keep doing this for 2 minutes and then proceed to take the mask off using a cleanser and water. 

Step 5: Once you’ve washed your face, pat dry with a clean towel.

Baking Soda and Honey mask

It’s true that many health professionals don’t recommend the use of baking soda in dealing with acne. However, it’s also true that baking soda can help in reducing acne breakouts and manage pain and inflammation on the skin due to its anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties.

  • One tablespoon of baking soda
  • One tablespoon of raw honey
  • One tablespoon of coconut oil

Instructions to make the Baking Soda and Honey mask:

Step 1: You start by combining one tablespoon of baking soda, one tablespoon of coconut oil and one tablespoon of raw honey. 

Step 2: Once you’ve washed and cleansed your face using an oil-free cleanser, apply the paste all over your face, using small circular motions and avoiding the eyes, mouth and eyebrows.

Step 3: Let the paste sit on your face for around 15-20 minutes and then rinse it off with lukewarm water and end with a moisturizer.

Apple Cider Vinegar & Clay Face Mask:

Although more research is needed to prove it substantially, there is still some evidence that suggests that apple cider vinegar, which contains succinic acid –which is known to reduce inflammation caused by a bacterium that leads to acne – can help in clearing pimples. In terms of time, this home remedy can take some time to work on acne –ranging from weeks to months – but the results are often very satisfying.

  • Two tablespoons of raw apple cider vinegar
  • One probiotic capsule
  • One tablespoon of bentonite clay

Instructions to make the Apple Cider Vinegar & Clay Face Mask:

Step 1: You start by washing and cleansing your face with lukewarm water and an oil-free cleanser. 

Step 2: In a large bowl, crush the probiotic capsule into powder and add two tablespoons of raw apple cider vinegar as well as one tablespoon of bentonite clay.

Step 3: Apply the paste to your face and let it dry for 10-15 minutes. 

Step 4: Use lukewarm water to rinse your face and then pat dry with a soft, clean towel.
