If you have finished your usual makeup remover, you can try to wet a cotton pad with a few drops of olive oil and then gently wipe your face. It is a super-effective remedy, especially for dehydrated skin, as the oil will intensify the hydration. Remember to pass a disk moistened with warm water after passing the olive oil to eliminate the greasy effect.

2 – Cleansing Milk With Almonds

To create a very useful almond cleansing milk, just use these ingredients:

  • 25g of almonds
  • 125ml of distilled water

After finely chopping the almonds in a blender, pour the distilled water over them, let the mixture rest for a few hours and finally filter everything, collecting the liquid in a bottle. The almond cleansing milk will be ready and since it’s preservative-free, you’ll need to put it back in the fridge. It will last from 3 to 5 days.

To use it, the technique is the same: soak a disk and pass it on your face to remove makeup residues and dirt.

3 – Makeup Remover With Yogurt or Kefir

The do-it-yourself yogurt remover is very delicate and emollient, suitable for removing all makeup residues on the face without creating redness. To prepare it, keep these ingredients at hand :

  • 1 tablespoon of the whole yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • 50ml of rose water

Pour the yogurt into a vial along with the olive oil and shake to mix. Then add the honey and rose water, shaking for a few more seconds. At this point, the mixture will be ready, you will need to keep the cleansing milk in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Before each use, remember to shake it to mix the components. Apply it with the help of a floppy disk, directly to dry face.

To prepare this DIY makeup remover, you can also use kefir, a fermented milk similar to yogurt.

4 – Two-Phase Makeup Remover With Chamomile

Chamomile is famous for its soothing properties, useful for sensitive skin and delicate face areas. Preparing a two-phase chamomile makeup remover is very simple; here’s what you need:

  • 50 ml of chamomile hydrosol or chamomile infusion
  • 25ml of rice, jojoba, argan or extra virgin olive oil

To prepare chamomile hydrosol directly at home, just infuse a sachet of chamomile, or directly the dried flowers, in 200 ml of boiling water for about 10 minutes. The liquid obtained will then be filtered and placed in a vial with the chosen oil’s addition. Keep the bottle in the refrigerator and shake to mix the two phases before using it.
